I read lg v40 released software updates that may improve camera performance.

V series in lg is primarily focused on video . no mention of video recording . it can shoot 4k 60 fps, 4k hdr with all the lenses and also EIS on all the lenses till 4k 30 fps which has steady recording . best manual controls with hifi audio recording. Hell even it can shoot in log and even has professional color grades in camera app itself no mention of that . in order to come up with what lg have in the camera itself you need separate videos for each segment .

Confused, i currently have a galaxy s9, which i love, and watched your video, i like the v40, and watched this video, on the s9 you viewed allot of photos in raw, and on v40 you shot most pictures with the wide angle camera which does not have true OIS and is lower res, the best camera is the main 16mp, why did you not use that lens more and shoot in raw, of course a fast moving image shot on a wide angle lens with out true OIS is not going to be sharp, i was maybe considering getting this phone in 6-8 months.

excellent video. Results were about what I would expect from an LG smartphone. I'm a V30 user. I like that he stressed how fun it was to use. Shooting wide angle is fun.

How do
I remove a signature on photos... I only wanted it on one now every photo has it and when I crop it off it changes details of photos

I am an LGv30 user and quite agree with this test. LG's image processing is lame. The dynamic range is okey and colors are not good(specially in low lights). I bought it for that wide angle camera and superb manual mode.
I feel that even in raw pictures you can't get much details from highlights but has good details in shadows. raw on wide angle lens does contain much details, you can't really recover anything from highlights. I use gcam mod and it works great and the colors and image processing looks so better. i wish they fix the over sharpening on the images and yes at least provide an option to mute the camera shutter .

Camera was not tested all the way through by a professional lg auto software isn't grate but in manual mode those cameras are very interesting you should try it and make another review ps when reviewing cameras try going indebted not just auto that gives false images due to software a professional photographer should know this

Very good review... Most things I agree with, seems like the sensors lg seem to use fall behind other flagship phones. What is the actual sensor they went with on cameras?

Really good review, thank u! But should i upgrade from #LGV30 to #LGV40 I'm mostly interested bc of difference between HD 120fps and FHD 240fps
