The LG G40 is an awesome phone. I like the regular, wide and telephoto camera in the back. I also like the regular and wide camera in the front. I like the fact that the V40 has an SD card slot and microphone jack. The LG V40 can compete with the Samsung Note 9, S9 and the Iphone X MS. Cool pop band ben.

Another neat feature on the phone is Triple Shot where it will take 3 shots of something using each lens.

From what I've read the price will be $900 for the 64gb and $980 for the 128gb. I wish they had been more aggressive with the price and priced it as you mentioned...but that just means waiting a few months.

I just love LG since the introduction of V series. I still remember when I went for lg v20 over samsung because of their excellent audio and image quality. Surely v40 is again a great one! I just wish lg to go with a bit modern design like oppo find x

By all means I agree.. the reason why I got my LG V40 is it has almost all of the things that I want from a phone..
1.manual mode camera
2.portrait mode
3.Oled display
4.dac
5.wide angle camera
6.IP68
7.128gb internal
8.design wise i love the flat panel

LG has great phones, and you are the one of rare honest reviewers that review the phones as it should be. More of the reviewers always underestimate LG phones without using them at all. They think that only Apple or Samsung can make a good phone. And it's ok for them 1400us$ for XS but the phone like LG V40 that has it all, it's too expensive for 800s$.

I'm getting this phone.
I read in a LG thread in XDA Developers that root may be possible with this phone. Sad thing root supposedly removed and impossible to SD850+. Anyways this phone looks amazing. I been with V series since V10.

Great comment Ben. Now at MWC 2019 everyone is doing the 3 camera thing. I.E. Samsung. People hate on LG just to hate..

And yes, I agree on the battery being the only weak spot. On the V30 you could get 5 or 6 hours of on-screen time easily, since the SD 835 wasn't that thirsty.
But I think it's gonna happen the same with the people who swapped the S8 for the S9, complaints about poor battery life one after another....

I have the V30. It's excellent. I was hoping the v40 would be a big upgrade over it, but it doesn't offer much more
