Very interested. To understand, why it has become.

I think this article misses on pointing out how immigration influx is a direct result of U.S foreign policy and economic sanctions on Mexico historically. From the Monroe doctrine to the Treaty of Bucareli and how U.S has historically dwarfed Latin America's economy and government systems.

Wet back comes from how soaked in sweat the workers shirts were, especially in the back, after a day in the fields under the intense sun. People in towns were particularly disgusted when workers enter their establishments to get groceries or for a beer, in my opinion.
Mexican workers have been requested by US plantation owners long before this video shows. Prejudice towards Mexican workers exists since long before WW2 and Bracero programs. It was particularly intense during the Great Depression, when Hoover administration expelled US citizens with racial features of Mexican descent for considered them illegals.
To say the border wall has been there "A long time" is a very narrow point of view.

0:52 It's the first time I hear a US source accurately making this statement. No euphemisms like "Mexico gave Texas and California their independence." Applause there 👍🏼

Do a video on how the US begged Mexico to work in the bracero program and how they never got paid when they were told to go back....

Immigration detention and deportation is the most lucrative sector of the industrial prison complex. The wall isn't about making the US safer it's about filling jail cells and making Trump's corporate cronies richer.

A shame that being neighbors we havent learned to coexist. Europeans had two wars to learn. Do we really need those extremities to learn ourselves?

Sonora, the Mexican state that successfully defended the sovereignty of Mexico, every attempt to invade the national territory was repelled.

Random question here: Is there such thing as illegall Canadian immigrants? And if so why is there not any fuss over that. This just came to me after reflecting on a conversation I had with some americans who would've sworn it wasn't a prejudice issue when discussing why they wanted tighter border control.

I live in a border city in Mexico and have been so accustomed to border walls cutting through the landscape that never really stopped to think about how they came to be; very interesting report.
Also, it is very common to see people in the media trying to explain things about border politics and immigration when they clearly have no idea how life is at the border, so it was refreshing to see that the reporter in this video actually did his research.
