I’m gonna break some delusions here but literally every K-pop star has had some form of plastic surgery or tweaking. It’s just the way it is when in any form of limelight…but South Koreas beauty standards are so extreme that even small things that western stars can get away with idols cannot…so they have to get them fixed.

I've been a long time Taeyeon Stan. When I first came across her, she immediately became my favourite visual in K-pop and I thought she was one of the prettiest people I'd ever seen. I did have a certain struggle coming to terms with the various facial changes Tae went through over the years, even though she still looks super beautiful. And ofc this is not a topic where my opinion matters at all it's completely her choice, but I sometimes feel bad that a girl who was already so pretty felt the need to undergo so many procedures to feel beautiful. I just hope she doesn't get anymore procedures done and has finally come to a place where she's comfortable in her own skin.

The thing about rhinoplasty is, its not permanent. As you get older, you would need to undergo more procedures to keep that "perfect" nose.

the only reason i disagree with surgery is because then people will compare themselves to an unobtainable standard. i think if people get plastic surgery they should disclose it, especially if they have fans that are fawning over them and might be young enough to think they were just born looking 'perfect'.

Taeyeon is scary skinny these days. Not to shame. Just. I know her past. With food. So I’m worried. She looks fragile. And yes. Her face is very much different to a few years ago. She’s very perfect. I have absolutely no issue with idols getting plastic surgery but what it does annoy me is the fact that these idols keep insisting that their completely natural. I mean i get it if their fans found out I don't think any of them would have a healthy response (since it seems they all choose to believe that these idols are in every way perfect in order to worship them in peace lol ) but still by doing so they are claiming that beauty like that exists naturally and in process make us normal real natural people with lots of imperfection compare our looks with them and loss our confidence and self love . In my opinion they all looked much better without the surgery no need to sugarcoat lmao especially the sm girls .

I have not followed SNSD for while after Jessica left in 2014 but I knew their materials up until 2015 and I would always watch their Japan tours online. When I saw Taeyeon again for the supergroup and her recent music, I was genuinely in shock. She always had a very strong jawline and it was always highlighted on stage when she's belting the high notes especially when she faces sideways. Now her chin and jaw has been shaved off for a softer look. Jessica had orthognathic surgery too to correct her jaw but she had no further surgical procedures aside from possible fat transfer to the face or fillers. Taeyeon's features has changed a lot including her cheekbones and eyes.

I liked Taeyeon's beauty prior to I dont know Lion Heart / Party era? I especially loved her look in Genie and The Boys era. However, I feel like at some point after Mr Mr era / Lion Heart era, her overall look kept on changing in unnatural way. I dont know how to explain it but like her skin is so pale now and she seems skinnier now especially her face. Her face especially her nose dont look natural now. Even Tiffany's skin is so pale now

I know they had some surgeries done even before and it was fine because at least they still looked natural back then compared to now
