just did it on the ground to a 2002 z71 non rustbelt, skinny guy
no jack, both lines
dropped that cross member didn't touch the diff
just a lot of sloppy wiggle, was wishing for a lift
duct taped the ends
hardest part was the hand room for putting the clips on, tranny side
top side i had the clips on and slide the ends in easy(click), didn't work on the other end. i had to put the lines in and then the clips on.
dropped the clip a few dozen times and had to use the magnet to find it
this video was very helpful, thanks

For those having trouble getting the line out
Step 1: support the transmission by the jacking up by the rear differential
Step 2 separate the lower pillar frin the the transmission mount. Listen carefully on the driver side there are 2 21 mm nuts and 1 21 bolt holding that side on, DO NOT HAMMER IT OUT! GET A 21 MM WRENCH and another 21 mm wrench and loosen it up the rest of the way. I had trouble using at ratchet and socket on the 5.3 because the twin catalytic was in the way in the driver side
Step 3: there are I believe 2 15mm or 18mm nuts spray those down with PB blaster or rust Penetrate oil. Then take off.
Step 4: lower the the jack enough to get behind it. I would not do this but I noticed the pillar in the back was supporting the rear so I let the jack down completely but I would support it!
Step 4 now you got room, cut the Lines closest to the dang nut then get a 19mm wrench for the 2 oil cooler adapter on the transmission and use the CIRCLE SIDE ON THE 19MM WRENCH to fully grip it and break it loose. When you break it loose VERY IMPORTANT TO TIGHTEN AND LOOSEN BACK FOURTN BEFORE TAKING THOSE BOLTS OFF TO PREVENT CROSS THREADING!
THIS METHOD IS FOR THE ONES WHI HAVE TROUBLE GETTING THE LINES OUT. Then with the new transmission, the cooler adapter will come with a new snap ring, LEAVE IT ONE there do not remove! Put the new oil cooler adapter on there with the snap ring and make sure its snug tight, do not over tighten
Final step connect the hoses, they will snap right in, your welcome!
NEXT FOLLOW THE REST OF THIS VIDEO PROCEDURE😊
GOOD LUCK TO YOU GUYS!

If like my job the clips that hold the lines on the transmission are vary hard to remove you can use a sawzall and cut the old lines leave some of the line exposed so it will be easier to remove the lines then use a long 18mm socket and remove the fittings. Also they don't mention you will need to remove the fan shroud and fan so if you don't own a lift you want to do that before jacking it up.

Quick tip; once you’re finished turn when left to right all the way to unsure the idler arm isn’t rubbing your transmission line, this will wear you brand new line out,
Also this is not the easiest job especially on the ground. I’ll admit I’ve gotten spoiled using a Lift.
Made me question why I haven’t bought a brand new truck already.
But I love it I got another I need to pull the transmission on next week 😂

How come you didn’t add the clip back to the one that comes off the transmission?

How about working on a rust belt truck just once. Why didn't you put the clips on.

You're skipping a lot of the video for one you didn't even show anything about the clip on the transmission side it is not that easy. Is your clip already on? Because in my experience these lines will not go on with the clip already on. Please a more detailed and better video
