From a veteran player, QT is rather niche. For Glass cannons with SOME form of ability based survivability (Mag, Nova, Excal w/ lifestrike, Volt) it can be a life saver, but for SOME frames (Banshee in particular comes to mind) it's just ineffective, and the slot would be better used otherwise. Personally, in these cases, I'll rely on mobility to avoid fire, and equip Rapid Resilience, you'd be surprised at hoe much one's survivability increases, when those toxin/bleed procs don't stick as long.

im not smart enough to understand those equations but "as long as i have energy i cant die" is this correct ?

My main problem with Quick Thinking is that I usually die when my energy is low in the first place.

Not only that, but I also massively disagree with "never take Redirection" as a statement. Yes, Slash procs can get pretty bad and if you have to choose only one, then Vitality is often the better choice, but Redirection is really strong with a sentinel. That instant full shield recharge is incredibly strong compared to anything else - it's like a Quick Thinking on your shield, done by your SENTINEL with only a cooldown holding it back.

QT is still very buggy. I die 2-3 times a play session when my hp drops into QT territory but it never turns on. I know it's not turning on because I have 700+ energy left.
I suppose it's possible that I'm taking enough damage in 1 hit to kill me even WITH QT taking all my energy. But it seems like a bug that it just wouldn't bother to remove the energy first.

The paper math on QT seems good, but I can't bring myself to use it. Energy can be hard to come by on some frames, and having it literally shot out of you - even at the benefit of not dying - isn't my idea of a good time. If I'm going to die, I'd rather just do it, get back up and keep going.

Also the stupidly high mod capacity for an effect that does nothing except when your losing can suck a doorknob, but that's me.

My Mesa: 4 Forma (2 V, 2 D, 2 -). Pistol Amp, Cunning Drift. P Continuity, P Flow, Blind Rage, Fleeting Expertise, Streamline, Stretch, Narrow Minded, Vitality.

Based on your analysis I could pull Vitality, but I've found the extra health is handy to have the time to pull my Redeemer and fire Lifestrike.

Hope that build helps.

Good video +Brozime, quick thinking does work how I thought it did but I never took armour into account so it often seemed kinda shitty to me when in reality it would've been more useful. May be worth turning this concept into a series, explaining mods and the nuances of their uses, that could be handy for even some of the more basic mods.

I use my volt prime with QT, primed flow, capacitance (overshield aug for his ult), steel fiber and redirection. I keep myself with streamline as well. My energy keeps me alive in two ways- shield restore / overshields, and as a save against toxin and slash. A lot of people question me using steel fiber, but I like the defenses it gives, especially since it stacks with quick thinking. It only gives volt prime 110 armor, but the less your total armor value, the greater each point's effect. My minimum value to use steel fiber is 100, and volt prime hits it on the dot. Just thought I'd share. (Capacitance is crazy. At times I can cast it in a crowd, take a ton of damage, have QT save me, but then reap the rewards as the animation finishes, stunlocking nearby enemies, and regenerating my shields faster than the unstunned enemies can damage them. Sometimes even if I walk to another room and fight a larger group of non CC'd enemies I can regen shields faster than they can deplete them. It's wonderful, really.)

I would like to see Oberon explored a bit. He's decent and has interesting concepts at his base and augments.

I recently made a Nova setup for High Risk Index running quick thinking since Nova is my strongest scaling warframe and has one of the highest energy pools. Since I'm constantly running through the infinite energy spawns that collect further into an index it effectively keeps me alive against the brutality even with the financial stress debuff. I'd recommend using QT during similarly fine tuned circumstances or if you have a dedicated EV Trinity that's reliable.

Arcane Grace on a shield frame will help with the Slash Proc and Poison damage concerns. Since it's based off of instance of damage, and not specifically damage to health, you can regen what's done to you through shield bypassing damage.

when power isn't even used as a secondary survival stat anymore XD

Only character quick thinking's good on is Limbo, though I'm fairly sure his change was after this video. Basically, if you get stumbled, all you need to do is slam the shift key and hope you get a single frame in which you can jump into the void. If you get it, you're saved, and can reposition yourself. That said, part of the reason this works is because it's easy to put both QT and vitality on Limbo without compromising any important part of your build, and you probably could never get away without having vitality on him.

for newer players shild is better than vitality of quick thinking cause they do not have the stuff like medi-ray or other ways to get life back and for most normal missions with enemy at max lvl 50 a max shild is plenty .... even without vitality or quick thous are emportant on endless missions or enemy at lvl 90 +
