Nice that you have 5G UW at your house. I don't even have 5G in our neighborhood..

I've been using XM on a shared 1GB by the gig plan for 3 lines for a total of $21 after taxes. The lines are always connected to wifi and if we do need extra data for the month it's simple to up the data limit and then go back down to the 1GB plan. Plus by being a subscriber you also get a $20 discount off of Xfinity internet per month. Really can't beat that deal.

What a disaster switching to xfinity mobile has been. I've been a Verizon customer for over 20 years. Service is great but expensive, $160/mo for 2 lines. I switched my internet service to xfinity 7 years ago and have been happy with it so when I heard I could switch to xfinity mobile for the same two lines and save $100/month and keep my same phone number I was intrigued. I watched multiple utube reviews and called customer service to explore switching. I explicitly asked if i needed to notify my current verizon service to save my number and was told they would handle everything I did not need to do anything. I decided to switch. Today I recieved the sim cards for both phones. I installed one card rebooted the phone twice and made my first call. GREAT it works. So I switched the second phones sim card. DISASTER, the phone reports no subscriber service just emergency 911 service. On further checking I discovered both phones had new numbers and would no longer connect to any service provider. I used my land line phone to reach customer service (a one hour queue) explained the problem. They said what is the "transfer pin#?" What the heck is that I asked? I was lied to by the sales girls that I didn't need to do anything to make the transfer. The xfinity service person called Verizon with me on the line (20min queue) the Verizon representative said they were never notified but quickly supplied the "transfer pin#". Then the Xfinity service person tried to complete the setup but ran into another problem. These phones are now disconnected. she spent 1.5 hrs trying to resolve the problem when the land line connection to her dropped. I recalled tech support but was told they were now closed. All progress has been lost. I will try again in the morning but I do not trust this company at all.

Can you do an updated video with the 3 New Plans Xfinity Mobile offers in December 2022; Unlimited Intro (20GB), Unlimited Plus (30GB), and Unlimited Premium (50GB)?

Xfinity mobile can be good as Verizon but Xfinity needs to get rid of 1.50down load speed after 20gigs they should just slow you down like Verizon does on some plans

For the vast majority of people(who use <20gb/mo) XFinity is a great option for domestic service. I hear they don't have international features and if you buy the phone from them it comes locked...but really if you're going to travel you can pay off your phone(I feel like these cable companies don't split promotions over 24-36mos) and unlock it for use with an international sim which I would expect to perform better in that country.

I like that their plan opens up their nationwide hotspots so with wifi options 20gb is plenty.

Does the data used for speed test on Xfinity's own speed test app count against your data usage?

Xfinity Mobile staff (which I was for a couple years) will fudge on the matter, but Xfinity and other MVNOs on Verizon are the first to be deprioritised before any Verizon customers, including its subsidiaries. Add the 20 GB of full speed and then dropping to 3G speeds is a Verizon applied limitation to the MVNOs to keep what they offer ahead of hosted competition, and it is really not a choice for people who want data. If there is data bandwidth available, it is not bad, but if it is a busy time on the network, like drive time, Xfinity will be throttled relative to a Verizon phone next to it.

I’m not hearing you talk about the fact that when you’re with these cable companies they’re going to default to these routers they have everywhere before it even goes to Verizon. That’s the problem I. have with that because I don’t want my traffic going through random routers …

God no, don't do it, worst support ever with xfinity mobile. If you have an issue that needs escalation, meaning their tier 1 cannot solve it, their overseas Philippines helpdesk will stonewall you non-stop if you ask to escalate. They have failed to unlock my phone after 4 "submitted requests" and keep telling me "there is no other way to do it", been 12 days now for a paid off phone...

Xfinity would be throttled before Vz postpaid though right?

Careful on those speediest lol, you only get 20gb and then it's awful 2g.

Xfinity customer service is the worst. If you have to call them once than expect to have to have 4 follow up calls to resolve the same problem. Sometimes you will get the rare customer support who knows what he is doing and get your issue resolved first time. Also xfinity mobile takes you 20 minutes to get through automated system lol. I'm switching to Verizon.
