Thanks for stopping by. I created this website as a resource just for you to support you on your golfing journey as I know how tricky learning this game can be…to say the least!

I personally found learning the game too long and difficult in the early days. I read all the books, watched all the videos but my game was not improving. Then after studying various forms of neuro science, motor learning, psychology and personal development in less than two years I went from struggling golfer to the final stage of the Open Championship.

Be prepared though. If it's a quick fix you are after Im not your man. Here I will give you step-by-step advice that you can take straight to the practice ground and apply to the course but it will require you to get stuck in, screw up…a lot, practice some more and then watch those scores tumble

I’ve had the pleasure of coaching thousands of students all around the world and if you are up for the challenge and are ready to get in the game…LETS GO TO WORK!

Hi Danny, your last few lessons have really made a difference for me. Why? Because you’ve taken the basic elements of the swing and described them in a very understandable way that readily translates onto the practice range and course. Moreover, these latest lessons are congruent with all of your previous instructions. So helpful. Thank you and blessings.

I believe that we all feel a strong pull inside of us to become a person of value, someone who makes a difference in people's lives. Danny Maude you have become such a regular part of my life for the past few years that I would TRULY be devastated if you stopped making videos. Thank you for providing quality content to those of us who cannot afford to do lessons with a PGA professional. I just felt compelled to tell you that I think you are an amazing coach and you make the best content on youtube with so much new content. You know what else, I bet that 99% of your followers feel this exact same way! Thank you for being you!!!!

I'm usually a skeptic on golfing videos since there are so many possible answers for one or two issues. This one is incredible. It's basically a back to basics. So before I would hit maybe 150 to 170 yards with a vicious slice an absolutely horrible slice and 99 of 100 times I wouldn't be on the fairway or I'd lose balls constantly and add a drop and rehit to the stroke count. I dreaded hitting my driver. With this simple 12 minute video and working in my backyard back to basics really. Replicating the swing and balance lessons in this video I'm at 50 to 60% power in my swing and I'm probably at the 150 to 170 yards but they're straight! I keep this up and eventually build in my power while keeping my balance centered I should have no problem reaching the 250 range and staying straight. Best video I have ever watched!

Danny first off I just want to say thank you! I'd given up on driver because I'm a HOOKER lol. I was exclusively using 3 wood off the tee and long irons. I played a scramble yesterday and was disgusted with myself. So I went down the youtube rabbit hole last night lol. I found this video and it just made so much sense to me. Combined with your other lesson on driving the ball it was just INSANE my ball striking off the tee. I only missed one fairway on my first attempt in went low left. Then after that BOOM!! Every drive went 270+ either straight or with a baby draw! Omg I was jumping up and down on the tee box! My buddies were like wtf are you doing to hit like this! Guys I'm telling I did this drill for like 15 minutes before tee time. Then i would do it once for a practice swing. Then with Danny's video on ball placement ball of the left hill under your left armpit its just EFFORTLESS POWER!! DANNY THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Danny you’re the best on YouTube. Such a smooth, effortless swing and you’re able to teach without over complicated drills or language. Thanks!

I had forgotten how good this drill is. What I would add is for those practising to hit 5 balls normally and stick a marker down at the average of these FIRST. Then work progressively from slow and easy to progressively faster and progressively wider. Watching the ball get closer to the marker with shorter width and slower swings helps to reinforce that bad things in the swing are getting overcome. Nothing like having a target and then kicking its butt whilst learning - then hitting it sweeter and longer and straighter in progressive way. Thanks Danny, brilliant as usual!

Used this drill yesterday on the course and it worked immediately - straight and long. Ball contact was also excellent. Thank you Danny, as always!

Your teaching is so concise and clear. I have been watching your videos for about a month and my ball staking has greatly improved. I now understand why I hit a certain bad shot. And the fix for it. You are the first instructor ( in person or video) that has helped me to understand the right elbow position. I have added 20 yards to my driver because of your videos. Thanks

Hi Danny

My post is nothing to do with today’s video but a follow up to one a few weeks ago with your Leo and the towel drill leading to longer drives. Decided to try it out during my usual Wednesday game concentrating on high hands on the backswing and then whipping it down to the ball. I noticed three things:

I was hitting it further, consistently outdriving my playing partners and on one occasion by 30 yards. One of my partners, who plays off 4, wondered out loud if I’d been bodybuilding! On one hole my drive measured 255 yards. Now, given the cold air temps and the very soft fairways, that’s not bad for someone nearing 69 and stands at 5’4”. Think what I could do in summer temps with the fairways firm. My target must be 280+?

I was hitting the ball STRAIGHT! I believe with my previous ‘safe’ drives, I was getting ahead of the club maybe, leaving the clubhead behind me and therefore the face might be a bit open leading to a fade, a BIG fade or…..the gorse bushes!! I was actually hitting the ball down the left of the fairway this week probably because at address I was closing the clubface slightly to conteract the fade. So, the ball wasn’t going everywhere! The brain takes over and adjusts. I was just letting it go!

The ball flight was much higher, with the ball in the air for longer. Again, if I’m not getting ahead of the club I feel I must be hitting up on the ball much more leading to a better ball flight??

I have read posts from your subscribers who have got so excited at doing this or that on the course after following your video tips. I can now understand how they feel! It is SO exhilarating!

So, if any of your subscribers managed to read to the end of this post, please just give it a go, you’ll be amazed.

Thanks Danny.

Brilliant lesson Danny. I’ve used this drill in the past for tempo but never really thought about why it worked or how to use it to evaluate proper balance. So obvious once you explained it. Thanks for all you do for the golfing community!

Thx for reminding me about feet together practice. So useful. I realise it’s best sticking to you each week rather than checking out lots of other coaches which gets confusing. It’s like having a personal coach every week with back up notes if needed. Thx as always. You’re the tops.

My hat is off to Danny Maude for this tip. Irregardless of the camera angle, I followed the instruction and IMMEDIATELY improved both distance and accuracy! I’m 66 and my average drives were in the 254 range! Just incredible. I take my time to set up as instructed, take my normal swing and away it goes. I’m a 5.7 hcp and love golf! Thank you Pro!

Tried this feet together drill this morning at range. Was seeing much better consistency with swings with all clubs. Best I have swung driver for ages. Thanks

Such a simple, clear explanation of getting back to the basics of the golf swing. My high school golf coach would "re-start" myself and teammates with a similar drill on the range by having us hit every club in our bag with a quarter swing, half swing, three quarter swing, then full swing. Doing so quickly provided feedback as to what your top half, arms, and "tilt" were doing incorrectly. This drill makes all of that unnecessary, as it allows one to progress to full swings only when the balance is able to be maintained in the shorter swings. I'm playing tomorrow and will give this a try throughout the round. Thank you again Danny....and you are welcome for the follow. :)

Danny - I watched this video yesterday before my first round of the year in Minnesota. I had been struggling with my driver on consistency and length. This video (along with the previous one on go slow to go fast) helped me shoot my first 73 (+2). Beating my personal best by THREE strokes. I was either in the fairway or just off. All my irons were struck great. I am looking forward to getting out of the 80s and into the 70s more this year thanks to your videos. Please keep them coming!!! Thank you!

Thank you Danny, This is something I use to get myself to slow down and focus...My coach taught me this over 25 years ago and it is one of the drills that has stuck with me. Nice to see that it has not gotten lost in todays technology

Thank you so much for this Danny, the best drill I’ve ever done, took it in the back garden first without a ball, then the driving range where I had possibly my best ever range session.
Acid test on the course today, played my best round for a couple of years.
Thanks again mate
