In this episode of ASK AN SDA, we welcome our long time friend Dr. Dojcin! Dr. Dojcin is a professor of Religion at Weimar University in California. He obtained his PhD in Church History at Andrews University. He has published several theological articles and has appeared in several television broadcasts. He has a passion for theology and apologetics, and frequently teaches with the Advent Defense League. He has come across some VERY interesting facts about the TEN HORNS of the fourth beast in Daniel 7, and we want to feature his findings!

I have a suggestion. During the call, it was clear that Elder Edwin was given priority while speaking. However, when interacting with respected individuals like Dr. Zivadinovic, it might not be best to prioritize in this way. When you spoke simultaneously, Dr. Dojcin's contributions were unfortunately muted, which possibly led to the loss of valuable insights.

The three plucked up were the Heruli in Italy in 493, the Vandals in Africa in 533, and the Ostrogoths in Italy in 538. Therefore, ten kingdoms existed in Western Rome between A.D. 476-493.

538-1798 timeline is not being questioned. Just who exactly where the 10 Kingdoms that take root after the Roman Empire. And who were uprooted 🤔🤔

i can understand his reasoning if you go from the point that the little horn would subdue 3 after 538. the 3 that i've always been shown were the Heruli, the Vandals and the Ostrogoths. in the view of many the little horn in 508 when it used Clovis, the king of the Franks to drive the Visigoths under Alaric the 2nd back into northwest Spain began the start of the union of church and state. it was at that time that under Clovis, when he converted to Catholicism from Arianism, the nation was converted and soon the others followed suit, especially after 538 and Justinian's Decree. the 3 that did not were the Heruli, the Vandals and Ostrogoths. i've also found online some history that says the Heruli did establish their own kingdom along the middle Danube age the Huns people died out or retreated after Atilla's death. i'm not saying the guy is wrong, just interesting to know some more history behind it all. as for the Vandals they were taken care of in 533/534 by the same Belisarius who took out the Ostrogoths. it's very reasonable to take it that he was sent to them as well as the Ostrogoths by the papacy. as for any that have asked the question "what has this got to do with salvation?" plenty. it establishes who the little horn is along with the other identifying marks so that we be not deceived, which Jesus and the other bible writers warn us about in the last days. deception would be so great that "even the very elect, if possible, might be deceived.

By the way, Catholic prophecies DO say that the little horn may be the final Pope in the end times, final 7 years. And he will attempt to change the Church. Bible says the same

The criteria, in order to be one of the ten horns is that they ALL hate the Harlot, and will burn her with fire, as stated in Revelation.
This confusion of the 10 horns is rooted in the belief that the 2300 days are years, and time times and half a time are 1260 years. This comes from EGW and Protestant interpretation.
If you believe what the Bible says, in Revelation, the 10 horns still exist in the last 7 years. The Beast, doesn't rise until the 5th Trumpet is opened. The Beast comes out of the bottomless pit. This is during the last 7 years. The little horn will subdue three of the 10, but it will have to be after the Harlot is burned with fire, BY the 10 horns.
This is all happening now, right before our very eyes, which I believe SDAs are not seeing.
The three horns that will be subdued are the three Abrahamic religions: Protestant Christianity, Islam, and Orthodox Jews. These three HATE the Catholic Church, so they are currently part of the 10 horns and are in the process of being subdued, by Pope Francis and the current war between Israel and Islam.
They will become One Religion in Unity, ecumenism. That's why the Abraham house exists.
The Saints, who believe Jesus is God are going to be persecuted. Pope Francis is ALREADY persecuting Catholic, by not allowing traditional Catholic Mass, sending FBI to spy on traditional Catholics, and canceling faithful Priests and Bishops.
The Saints were not given into the Papal Rome hands during the 1260 years, because the people who were getting persecuted by Rome, did not believe Jesus was God

Another thing the good professor needs to look at is his theology. Monergism is not what he defined, protestants can differ on the mechanics of monergism but all protestants believe in monergism. Catholicism is the one that says that God doesn't do the saving alone, we need to assist him. So we are justified by faith but we maintain that justification by keeping the law. Read the counsel of Trent when they cursed protestants for saying we are justified by faith only.

The mechanics of monergism can differ, a Lutheran for example will still believe in monergism but explain it differently, man is free to walk away and reject the provision of grace by God. That is still monergism.

Calvinistic monergism teaches perseverance of the saints. You guys really need to study protestantism and stop saying you are heirs of the Reformation when you can't even explain Sola scriptura or monergism, the hinge of the reformation. You don't stand on the shoulders of giants if you have different beliefs than those giants

Sorry, I went to sleep before the stream was finished, it was late where I'm from. I see the good professor responded, I wish we could have discussed because the good professor must certainly brush up on his history. Not every non-Catholic denomination is a Protestant. Wesleyans are certainly not protestants, they came from the anglican church, which is a protestant church. So if we call them protestant then they were protesting the anglican church. Pentecostalism is 20th century American novelty, protestants don't have anything to do with it.

It's this idea that every denomination that isn't Catholic is protestant so that SDA can then be put into the fray when they are not protestant.

Protestants didn't want to start another church, they wanted to remain attached to the Christian roots of Catholicism, reform tradition but keep.good tradition like the earlier creeds and have the Bible as the infallible rule of faith only, that's why all protestants still believe in the apostles creed.

These other offshoots are hijacking the term protestant even though they are not

There is a pattern in the rise and fall of both of the pagan rone as well as the papal rome which we don't have to destroy . When you say that the three horns were to be destroy after 538 this is erroneous and it's not biblical.
For pagan to assume the throne of the world: pagan rome subdued three obstacles according to Daniel 8
For the papal power to assumed the throne: it's uprooted three obstacles. In the future for the papacy to reassume the throne again Daniel 11: 40-45 shows us that the king of the north will have to conquer the Three obstacles. 1 the King of the south
2. The glorious land (USA)
3. Egypt
After these obstacles are removed, the papacy will have world dominion.

Why didn't you tell that guy that you can't get to 538 with a 360 day year .it would be impossible. you're 18 years short already. you're not doing that in Daniel 8 ..with the 2300 days.. nothing you're saying here is making any sense .this stuff has not even started yet ..you destroyed Daniel 9:27 that's why you can't make this fit

Daniel 7 says those four (shall rise up)..( Babylon had already risen)! when that was written ..and Daniel 7:25 and Revelation 13 says (the time that's the starting( of the time times and a half a Time ).doesn't happen until( after the deadly wound is healed) that means your deadly wound( is healed before 1798) not one thing you teach is the truth. You still have 42 months ..or a time times and a half a time ..or as you say 1, 260 years.. which is not true (after the deadly wound is healed). you already used it up in 1798.
