Snickers our '78 F150 Gets AC, New Wiring & Gauges!! | Ford Era

Hey All, In this video we drop off & pick back up Snickers our 1978 Ford F150 Ranger XLT. We took this baby on Hot rod power tour several weeks ago and I learned then that it needs Air Conditioning.

When I got home I reached out to my buddy Sean over at @AutomotivePowerSolutions & get scheduled for him to install the @va197653 AC & also put in a fresh @Painlesswiring harness & Some @DakotaDigitalTV RTX Gauges.

He absolutely knocked it out of the park. Got it back & drove her home. While driving her home I realized how much heat was coming through the roof. So we put @RestomodAir Membrane MAX the 8mm stuff up there to keep us cool.

This truck is too beautiful not to have ah full frame off restore. Truck is one of the best I've seen. Also ah fan of high boys. This truck is 2nd. The first place goes to gas monkeys green 78 quad cab. With 8ft bed. Awsome video guys.

Perfect upgrades. Another help with the ac is tinting the windows. I know sometimes it doesn’t look right on the classics but man it makes a ton of difference.

That's great up grades, only wish you could have shown step by step installation of both air and wiring, o-well some day soon I will do my truck, and put it in videos for the 78-79 folks

I did the roof doors an floor on my pickups an it made a big difference an i put painless harness in my 76 an as it has no charge lite in the xlt dash i had to add one to make the voltage regulator work rite other wise all good

So if it doesn’t have a 351M, what engine does it have? My best friend bought nearly this exact truck new in 1978. It was an explorer package with factory air, 351M and painted blue. I loved that truck.

Install Redhead steering box. It drive much better. I have them on my F250"s
