Hey All, In this video we tackle the rust we found when pulling out the original windshield on Snickers our 1978 Ford F150 4x4.

The truck has already had the rust & paint work touched up and we didn't know obviously about this so the last thing I wanted to do was go back to the paint shop now. So after talking with Dave we decided to try a weldless rust repair.

We sourced thanks to Brian Delfel an original window bow & were able to cut it up where we needed & then cut out the rust & with 3M panel bond we put it all back together. Then we let it cure & finished it off with a coat of paint to match. We reinstalled the windshield & bingo. She is fixed!

I remember on a tv show called trucks. They used panel bonding on a rusty cab corner of a Chevy s10 and whole quarter panel on a wrecked Silverado.

I recommend urethane sealer between the gasket and the window frame, otherwise the rust will likely return.
