This track's name in the original Japanese translates to "Even if I fall into darkness" and goddamn is that just metal as hell

Whereas Alight sounds heroic, perfectly encapsulating the feeling of invading your dreaded enemy, but knowing you will prevail if you fight your hardest, this song is more so giving the feeling of Hoshido taking a last stand against an enemy they know they can’t beat. At first, I always thought this song didn’t really fit the feeling of victory as well as Alight did, but now I realize that’s because 1. the victory in this scenario isn’t as joyful as it is Birthright, and 2. the song isn’t encapsulating YOUR feelings as you invade, but Hoshido’s feelings of sensing the Nohrian army slowly creeping their way through the castle, winning the war with the ease of cutting through butter with a hot knife.

Ah besides in conquest just the fact that this plays in the revelations chapter after IMMEDIATELY getting Ryoma was probably the only reason why I really liked revelations since they absolutely killed the chapter with getting Xander, Leo and their respective retainers
