8-year old video, and still the best one to explain "al dente"

All other videos are just too long that I didn't even bother to watch because knew it can just be explained in a minute, just like in this video.

I literally stick to about 7-8 min. extra al dente and then finish it off cooking in the sauce for about 3-4 min. ofcourse adding little bit of pasta water along the way untill it gets the desired bite.

Did he say 10 grams of salt for liter? Thats bullshit, its like 9 spoons of salt for 500 grams of pasta, way too much!
Then again he is a famous chef so...

Al dente means "slightly undercooked"? I thought it meant cooked, but still firm to the bite. Don't serve me some undercooked noodles!
