Wonderful! I actually have that model of camcorder and soon will have a a previous generation AS7. I've made fun videos mixing footage from my old RCA VHS camcorder with iphones and 16mm Bolex but never tried comparing them to modern cameras. What was frustrating back in the 80's was using my VHS camcorder and wanting to get a film look (with more dynamic range and 24fps) but the young me not understanding why. Fun video!

Awesome comparison. I was right all along, it's not about the gear, never about the gear. I still use my Sony Erricson K750i phone camera, its all I need, all anyone needs..👍

I actually have a Sony Digital8 camera and a miniDV camera, and that overpriced Apple dongle so I can digitally capture video using FireWire...
