In Amsterdam they legally have to state if something has 🌱
So you should be fine 🙂

Common misunderstandings clarified ➡️
1. Amsterdam is the capital city of the Netherlands.
2. It's called the Netherlands, not Holland (Holland is just a small part of the country). The national language of the Netherlands is called 'Dutch'.
3. Netherlands and Germany are neighbours.
4. Amsterdam is not in any way representative for the Netherlands because Amsterdam is very orientated on tourism.
5. Foreign televisionshows are subtitled, so you hear the original voices (not like in Germany or Spain and many other countries), this contributes to the fact that most people in the Netherlands do speak English, young people more then the elderly.
6. Weed or marihuana is legal in shops and at home, but just in a small amount. It is illegal to sell or produce weed yourself.
7. The only shops where you can buy weed have a permit and they are called 'coffeeshop'. If you want to go out in the Netherlands to just drink a cup of coffee, you don't go to a coffeeshop, you go to a 'cafe' or a 'lunchroom' or maybe a restaurant.
8. People in the Netherlands don't walk in wooden shoes, maybe a lost farmer in the countryside does here and there, but it's really rare.
9. There are mills in the Netherlands, but there are not so many and certainly not in every town and village.
10. You can drink water from the tap everywhere in the Netherlands, the quality is one of the best worldwide. Also there are many lakes, rivers and in one side the Netherlands is located next to a sea. But we don't go ice-skating to work, ice-skating is only possible when the water is frozen and that's only a few days a year, maýbe if we are lucky. Children learn to swim from a very young age, that's a necessity. Unfortunately swimming-accidents do happen, often with people who immigrate from other countries to the Netherlands because they don't know how to swim and it looks easy on the outside so they are not aware of the risks.
11. From a very young age, children from the Netherlands learn to ride a bike and many young kids go to school by bike. First guided by mom or dad but when they are 8-10 years old they go alone. Almost nobody wears a helmet while riding their bike, that's the opposite of the people in Germany. You can not leave your bike without double lock, because chances are very high it gets stolen.

As an ex Amsterdamer, my advice would be to avoid all food in the city because it’s bad, not because there’s any weed in it
Weed is only available from coffeeshops, all the “weed” lollipops/cookies etc you see in shops just contain either hemp or CBD and do not get you high

Haha love your humor. I can imagine your suspicion, Amsterdam is marketed as Weed City after all. Greetings from a Dutchie!

This is like when parent/teacher/ads were trying to convince you random strangers would give you free drugs on your way home.

You gotta be exceptionally dense to think "anything green" in Amsterdam contains weed by default lol
