It's classic 17th century architecture with the beautiful canal houses makes it a very unique city and a great place to explore, of course paying close attention to the bike traffic since it is insane! I'm looking at going to Amsterdam for 48 hours. (Arrive MOnday evening, leave Wednesday morning).
The Anne Frank House is my main goal and as of July 2024, ticket sales start 6 weeks before sales opens at 10am on Tuesdays (CEST). Just in case you're planning to go.

We will be in Amsterdam on a 12hrs layover. Do you recommend us going to Zaanse Schans? If yes, how do we get there from AMS Airport? What do you think about renting a bike to go around town?

I’ve been to Amsterdam and I don’t know what’s so good about it. I found it quite boring without much to do. Of course the coffee shops and red light district are interesting in their own ways but that’s pretty much all! 😅
