First off: Welcome to the Netherlands!
Living in Amsterdam, that's exiting. I was born and raised there. It's a lovely place with lots and lots to do.
But please don't forget, the Netherlands has a lot more to offer than Amsterdam. So explore and have fun. Maybe those dark winter days are less inviting to explore the country, but once spring arrives be sure to visit other places.
