Yes, this is a fan trailer (or a concept trailer). Fan trailers are often misunderstood. These videos transform existing footage through the use of editing, professional voice artists, and heavy effects work (in After Effects).

These videos take many weeks of editing to create. I take existing content and transform it into an entirely original fictional film. Unfortunately that this movie WON'T be coming to a cinema anytime soon.

Fran Drescher (Fran Fine) returns along with Charles Shaughnessy (Maxwell Sheffield), Renée Taylor (Sylvia Fine), Daniel Davis (Niles), Nicholle Tom (Maggie), Madeline Zima (Grace) and Benjamin Salisbury (Brighton) in this 2000 something remake of the late 90's classic.

I had the idea for this trailer wayyy back in 2015. I never dreamt of making it because it just seemed way too retro. Funnily enough, what's old is new again, and there's rumours that a REAL Nanny remake is in the works. According to sources it will star rap artist Cardi B.

I'm self taught when it comes to video editing. I wanted to try something new with this video so focused on the animated portion. I drew all the characters in photoshop using vectors, then animated them, learning new techniques in Adobe After Effects.

You might notice that as the intro progresses, the animations become a little better. Hey, that's what happens when you learn as you go. This video took me approximately 40 hours so I hope you enjoyed it.

The title track lyrics were written by me and then recorded with a professional voice artist on Fiverr.

I would totally be down for a nanny reboot. But 1. Maxwell and Fran are not divorced and 2. they are taking care of their grandchildren. It could be the same format but this time Fran instead of being the Nanny, she's the granny, Maxwell is still putting on shows (and maybe kicking himself for passing on Hamilton). The twins and Niles and CC's child are also present. They could be just finishing highschool or in college (assumming that the timeline in the show starts earlier) Brighton has a child (maybe a daughter that's kinda like Maggie) and he's a world famous photographer or journalist (anyway a job that allows him to travel), Maggie also has a child of her own, or two (not to many new characters as the show should be focused more on the younger generation) and Grace is a playwright, or author, political comentator- anyway a job that's super intelectual and she's still single, so you can have a little bit of that Silvia Fran dynamic but in the 21 century (it would be an interesting theme to explore). The show maybe only takes place during the summer so there is an excuse why the kids are all there. Niles and CC have gotten divorced and married again and divorced again. And they just matched on Tinder. It's the only match either of them have. But they don't admit that.
Maxwell tried to get one of the children to take over the producing bussiness, his views clashing with the ones of the youth.
Silvya is still there as well as morty. No grandma yetta as the actress has passed.
Just the same basic recipe that made the show amazing, but updated.
Oh man, I'd really love that.
