This song, this wonderful truthful came back into my life at the right moment. I was feeling so down. so alone, so alone. Then it came on the radio while driving from my 14 year old son's grave. I felt that no one understood the pain I'd been living for 5 years. It helped me cry hard and deep. Something I needed. Thanks REM from a Dad.

Saw a comment from some time ago from Gene Bradley, probably not related. Thank you for your service, was drafted in 65, but I did not go to Vietam. I was was assigned to to France/ Germany corridor until 1967. One of the few things that kept all of us together was our faith, family, health, friends, and music. At my age I am greatfull to be alive and be able to still enjoy the sounds of silence by S&G and Distrubed. Never was into REM, but stumbled onto Everybody Hurts. To everyone out there, you can take the time to smell the roses, but you should take time to Listen to the Lyrics.
