[FIXED] Windows 10 Blue Screen: KMODE EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED ETD.sys

In this video I show how to resolve a common blue screen on Windows 10. Disabling the touchpad software resolves this issue.

I usually don't comment when someone helps me fix an issue on Youtube but this after 1 year of troubleshooting and trying to find a solution on my Lenovo Laptop finally it fixed my problem, it was a conflict between this service and AMD Radeon Graphics dont ask why and how but this solution solved my problem i tried to restart and shutdown and everything normal NO MORE BLUE SCREEN ! I thought the problem was from AMD Radeon !

I had this for the first time today (following an update) and I was a little skeptical. After all, surely I'd lose functionality of the buttons. But no! And, so much more importantly, a problem I've always encountered on Thinkpads and HP laptops is having to click the touchpad button twice esp when switching to a different window. That problem has gone away, too. THANK YOU.

Worked for me like a charm. In some laptops with win10 and keyboards with fn button the f8 doesn't work and I don't know why. What you can do is go to windows menu, hold shift, press shutdown button and then restart. A menu will open before restarting. Go to "problem solution" -> "advanced options" -> "initialization options" -> reboot -> then press f4 to choose safety mode. After that you can follow the video instrucions. Good luck!

This was much help and saved me hours of work. Just wishing i would have found the video earlier!

*Quick tip if you dont find the program in msconfig try looking for EDT touchpad in your installed programs and then un install.

This uninstalls the driver that looks for the touchpad and windows stops giving a shit if it exists.

If you guys are still having a problem, this set of commands fixed mine:
C:
cd c:\Windows\System32\drivers
ren ETD.sys ETD.sys.old
exit

After that restart and if that didn't fix it, then i dont know.
