Pro footballer (not my client) performing an eccentric loaded Nordic.

For most who start this is WAYY to advanced. Start without a load. Once you’re able to complete 5 reps for 2-3 sets (in-season sets will vary)THEN you can begin by adding load.

We treat this exercise too much as an “injury prevention” exercise when it’s much more than just that. Meaning we can load it up like any other exercise and keep it under 5 instead of doing 15 in a row.

Also, do not forget to Sprint at TOP SPEED if your goal really is to “bulletproof” — and not to mention INCREASE SPEED — your hamstrings. According to research nothing will activate the hamstrings and expose it to the demands of the game like sprinting.

i've been training nordics for months, i can do much better form than shown in the video, however i still receive knee pain even tho nordics are meant to prevent knee injuries ?
