it's still voluntarily subjecting yourself to simulated violent imagery, it still affects us not only mentally but spiritually by acting as a subject of violence in our thoughts and can affect our thinking patterns negatively because how could it not? CoD certainly doesn't promote any positive Christian values, if anything it shows the opposite, glorifying death and destruction into a competitive activity. Games that involve the player inflicting violence and death like CoD are a poison to the mind, if you think violent games are affecting your relationship with god and ruining your spirit then step away definitively. And even if your heart and mind are in the right place don't let that be an excuse to subject yourself to simulated violence

I think if the objective of the game is to cross the 10 commandments then you shouldn't play it.

If you play Call of Duty more than spending time with God, then it is an idol which does make it a sin. Unless you don't play it all the time.

Yeas you can. How could you not. It isn’t sinning and even if it was Jesus payed for our sin so why would it matter. Edit: the only way it would really be sinful is if you were raging and using vulgar language.
