In high school, I wrote my senior thesis on basically this exact thing, how too often many Christians view sin as a legalistic checklist and not in terms of a virtuous character. It still is one of my fav things I've ever written, and I'm glad you have similar beliefs

This is a really good take. I use Video games, especially online ones as a way to preach the gospel, always typing in chat before a match, “Jesus loves you and died for you”

Exactly! Lots of things can be sinful if used the wrong way. Now there are obvious flat out sins like sex before marriage, murder etc but most things tend to be nuanced. Alcohol by itself isn’t sinful but drinking in excess can be. Video games aren’t sinful by themselves but depend on how often you’re playing and even what video games you’re playing that could put you into near occasion of sin recklessly
