Some controls are specific with airframes not just aircraft type. For example the cessna 172 basic avionics switch binds won't show up on the cessna 172 g1000. I had to map them again

Asobo got almost every aspect of this controller UI wrong. Instead it should be 'profile for all aircraft', 'profile for a type of aircraft', 'profile for a specific aircraft' with a more specific keybind overriding a more general one. 99% will be set in the all-aircraft category anyway. Too late now and the UI is fucked.

What ameses me the most is not so much that these settings are ridiculous and counter-intuitive, but that there were "leaders" who approved it... Focus groups?

I think you just explained something that was driving me mad. My settings appeared not to be saving - but I think that was because I wasn’t setting it as a default.

This is by far the worst control UI ever designed.
Why didn't they not reuse the 2020 version of it?

Lots of great information in this video, but it's presented so rapidly and furiously that there's no time to comprehend anything, let alone absorb it. I felt like I was being machine gunned. I'll have to start the video again with the sim launched and try to watch the it 20 seconds at a time with captions on
