Thanks for your heads up Mark. One thing that I dearly miss from (I think) was from FS2004, was where you could touch a key, which would send the Camera to the closest Control Tower. Brilliant to watch Landings, Fly bye etc. Sorely missed.

Thanks, Mark for this information update. The new UI is so much better from what I can see. They've done a great job for sure, but the present UI just wasn't thought out fully. So good for them for recognizing that and improving!

Thanks, but would be nice if controls settings of 2020 can be saved to apply in 2024

I hope it has Auto detection and Auto changing configuration for selected Aircraft?

I presume the control listener just picks up an input by clicking it on the device and then you can select its assignment.

Mark, Thanks for this view of the future. I would like to know about peripheral compatibility, over the past 4 years we have all invested in a wide range of support equipment, and now what will carry over, and what needs to be new. Many thanks for considering my request.

Thanks for taking the time putting this video together. I like the direction MSFS 2024 is going in allowing you to modify settings while in flight. Also not having to jump back to the world map to change aircraft is a great step forward. One thing I would like to see is the ability to create "settings profiles" especially graphics settings. You may have one profile for areas that aren't heavy on graphics can crank them up or another for cities such as London City where you may want to turn down the graphics a bit. We had this feature in P3D and it was very useful.

I’d like the configuration to be savable and shareable.

Thanks...I am loving the way to configure the controllers. I have so many aircraft in my hanger and remembering which switch and hat position does this or that is always a challenge.

I hope the new simulator is well optimized for newer video cards and handles VR well.

4 years into MS2020 and I'm still finding improvements to my controller configurations. I am not looking forward to reproducing all that in FS2024... But this layered approach will make it much easier. I feel a lot happier about making the switch after seeing that

I'd like some easy pre presets for simplicity, especially good ones for helicopters.

I want to be able to point to a panel switch / control while sitting in a cockpit and if I can interact with that control with a mouse I should then be able to assign that cockpit item to any combo of keyboard / mouse / controller.

Hmm, interested to see a button highlighted on the controller. Presumably, this means that you can see which button is being actioned in 'choose by action'. My Velocity yoke has lots of buttons, and sometimes trying to remember which is button b24, or b19, is very difficult.

What I miss most, especially for controllers with lots of buttons and switches, is the possibility to have a bit of logic in there, such as multiple assignments chosen based on some value. Think the bravo’s reverser handles, combined with the “minus one” detent. Only handles, then idle reverse, both, then full reverse. Things like that.
