Hi!! So excited for you all to see this vlog since this is probably my most requested video. I know there's not very many content about how an OR nurse's day usually is, so I'm glad to share some information and transparency on this subject. Also, we've reached a milestone in this channel... happy 2K subscribers! If you're new here, welcome! Having reached this number just motivates me and inspires me to put out more quality content. Stay tuned! Much love, Bella :)

The stark difference in how nurses on the floor(med surg, rehab, ltc, ortho, ER etc etc) are treated and burnt out.. not just by patients/their families...but by management, doctors and higher up in the hospitals.. its just sad.

More power to ya! Im glad there are greener pastures for good nurses to thrive 😊

It certainly takes a team in the OR too. The circulating RN is a patient advocate. Other than, setting up, the RN helps everyone maintain sterile fields, does instrument plus sponge counts. Then does a “ hand off “ report to PACU. I now you know this but just wanted your audience to know some of your other important duties. Great job

There will always be a need for dedicated OR personnel . My wife retired with 45 years in the OR, from a major teaching university with three hospitals, and a medical school . She's done cases from urology, general surgery, ortho, and up to and through neurosurgery and organ transplants . Best wishes to you and your team .

Thank you for what you do, I’m a ex navy hospital corpsman 14 yrs so I know about medicine, I just had back surgery in nov, and when they get me in the door of the operating room, the first thing I do is say hi to everyone, and ask if everyone is feeling good and in a good mood, then to turn on the radio or music to what ever will make them happy, if they are happy, then my surgery will be ok and that’s how I roll

Me and my family will soon be travelling to Texas for an OR job and this eases some of the unknown especially with the OR setting you guys got there.

Thanks for sharing this vlog! Most videos don’t really show anything so this was helpful! Seemed a lot less stressful than I thought lol

just came across your channel and love how in-depth and cheery this was! :) I'm really in between starting out bedside nursing in a progressive or critical care unit or starting an OR residency. are there typically a lot of younger, new nurses in the OR? I've been told it is usually more of a senior nurse realm and I'm worried i won't meet coworkers that i relate with or in the same phase as me as a new nurse

Thanks for sharing! Love that the video is positive and you enjoy your work. Very happy for you.

Hope you don't mind me pointing this out....not trying to be should be kept short and free of nail polish as they (nails and chipped polish) harbour germs and may tear gloves. This is important especially when one is a scrub nurse.

Love this vlog! I'm an operating room nurse too but I'm based in the Phils. Just recently passed my Nclex and hoping to get into OR too when I'll apply in the States soon.. I love your work environment and everyone seemed great! I hope I'll have the same experience as you soon but I wouldn't expect too much because everything's different like you said.

Is it hard to get into the OR I know most nurses love to stay there bc it’s not as stressful as being bedside
