The actual reason King Kai mentioned an asteroid is because Frieza wasn’t created yet for the series, confirmed by Toriyama himself. They retconned it with the explanation that King Kai lied to Goku to make sure Goku didn’t try and challenge Frieza before he was ready. They also made it consistent that Goku and the other remaining saiyans all believed Planet Vegeta was struck by an asteroid (Vegeta, Raditz, Nappa, Turles, Paragus, etc.).

Toriyama had to start drawing manga immediately after finishing Doctor Slump Arale-chan.That is Dragon Ball.
At first he was planning to write a short story, but it became so popular that he ended up writing it on a whim without any plot. But the manga has become incredibly popular, and people are asking for the next story every day.
What a pressure.

Goku later found out that he was the one who went on a rampage and crushed his own grandpa, Gohan, when he turned into a Great Ape as a child but it was the key to become a SSJ4 in DBGT with his granddaughter, Pan's help! THANK YOU PAN!!! 💖💖💖💖💖

Weird, Goku at this point didn't know about the Oozaru form, this was a minor plot point in the original anime since he finds out about ti through Vegeta.

The original concept of Planet Vegeta having a guardian who destroyed it because he no longer tolerated the dark nature of the saiyans is much cooler than being enslaved and later destroyed by a ruthless ruler (Frieza) because he feared that the saiyans would be banding together and pose a threat to him. And the destruction caused by several asteroids is also much better than one guy using a ki bomb with only one finger.

The Saiyan with headband could be Goku's ancestor. The Saiyan race was feared thourgh the galaxy.
They took a whole star syetem when they worked for Frieza. A handful of them can take out a planet.
Goku took out an army.

I wonder if the saiyans shrunk down in size kinda like how the uni 6 saiyans are small and don't have tails. Maybe the Tuffles are just small? Does this also mean broly is like more of a primitive saiyan because of his size?
