How to deal with test websites in Google Analytics 4

Working on a live and test/staging website? In this video, you will learn what should be done in Google Analytics 4 so that you could avoid data pollution.

Long story short: use separate GA4 properties for every version of the website. That way your developer traffic will not be included in your live website’s data.

For the first GTM option (one GTM container for both websites), you covered the use of a lookup table to point to two different properties but you didn't talk about different environments. Is the use of the lookup table enough or do I still need to publish to different environments?

My question is that if I access localhost for example, the event will be accounted for in which analytics property?
