I just started working as a cashier last month and I love chatting with my customers! I work nights so when there aren't a lot of people in the store i get to have some great conversations. Just the other night I asked a woman about her cat since I noticed she was buying cat food and we ended up showing each other photos of our cats it was really lovely. It's a great way to get to know people in your community and I'm really loving it so far.

One of my first high school jobs was a cashier at a drug store. I really credit it to helping me open up and not be so shy. I still struggle talking to some people. But it helped me a ton!! I learned a lot from that job as an introvert.

This is a method I used to help develop my social skills - i was late diagnosed with autism with sever anxiety and depression due to trauma related to said late diagnosis - now I love to give small talk enough to make someone smile and just walk away ❤️ looking at building my skills and make someone's day?
