I'm Japanese but I speak hindi fluently because I went to India for some years because of my job, they were surprised realizing I was Japanese like the 2 year because I spoke fluently and I could do an Indian English accent, they thought I was a north east Indian, really loved India tho, I wanna visit again, it's such a pretty country with wonderful food and ppl

as a Wasian who looks more Japanese, I can confirm that people have constantly talked to me in Japanese and it’s so awkward when I can’t respond, especially with my family cause I’m always like “ye-yeah..” one time I thought my grandma was saying sleep well but she was telling me that I was behaving badly cause I was straightening my hair in the middle of the night.. still learning Japanese tho 😭

I am a South Indian, and i literally have the same experience yesterday at Delhi airport 😂 poor guy, i think he was joking something and I stood like a statue . He understood right away and smiled and said : "no hindi ? " . I feel sorry for his joke 😂
