Out of all the people who post commentaries I truly enjoy yours the most. I'm in college right now for IT. My field is security. Could never imagine a field I love more then IT security.

One thing I think you didn't key in on is that not all people are motivated by money. Now I currently have a kind of balanced focus. I truly started my professional career at age 30. I want a rewarding job that pays well. Now this might not have been the best decision but from age 20-30 I worked restaurants. I had a blast! I learned so much about people and life. I made SHIT money, lol, but I had a blast. There are many roads. Just make sure you want to go down the road you're on! ;)

Woody, if I can give my kids the same quality advice you give in these vids then I'll be a happy man. Good going dude.

You're simply the best commentator on YouTube, your background vids are great and it's really interesting to hear your opinions that aren't only about CoD,

Well Done,
please continue posting Magnificent Vids for us.

Thanks, Woody! I'm torn between Computer Science and IT, and I was thinking the same things that were mentioned in your vid, but there are a lot of positives to these positions as well. Sometimes hearing it from someone else lets the arguments sink in. Senior year in High School is definitely a tough year.

Keep up the good vids = )

I'm in IT and have been for 12 years. Woody is right. You MUST love it (which I do) and you have to be hungry to keep up your skills. It's a bit unique because emerging technologies happen every day and if you get left behind you be running to catch up. So always keep learning.

you can do anything you want if you prepare yourself and take the right steps to do it.. anything really is possible if you train yourself with the right skills.. thanks again Woody for being the great person you are

I really like that last quote Woody. Funny because I was thinking about that concept the other day and that quote hit the nail on the head.

Totally agree with you on the construction point you made, Im a Joiner here in the UK and the credit crunch has affected the Construction trade big time, it was good during the boom where there was plenty £££ to be made but not so much now.

woody, with total respect, this vid reminded me why you are in the top 3 commentators, you'd kinda went off on majourity gaming but seriously top quality vid, and a sincere thankyou, for what its worth :)

A+ video Woody.

Take this advice youngins.

It's not till late high school or college (sometimes after) where you will find out what you want to do for the rest of your life. Early on into college I decided I wanted to go into IT/ISM but just like Woody said, those jobs are being offshored at an alarming rate.

Two years later, I now have double majors in ISM and marketing and own my own business which generates 2.5 mill. of revenue a year and I couldn't be happier.
