Amazon employees at a New York City warehouse have voted in favor of unionizing for the first time in the tech giant's 27-year history. Amazon Labor Union interim president Chris Smalls joins CBS News' Lana Zak to talk about this historic victory and their next steps.

It isn't like it was even 30 years ago. My family immigranted here, worked factory jobs, and bought houses. The whole economy is fd up, but don't dismiss a wealthy company like Amazon from their responsibility. They should pay their workers a living wage, regardless of the bs minimum wage they are currently trying to edge above. If you work 40 hours for the most profitable company in the world, you should also be able to buy a house. At least pay your rent ffs

A good and fair Trade Union is a must, especially if the 'bosses' of the business is being unfair. Both workers and employers are to be given reasonable Rights. This takes negotiation. Please do not strike unnecesarily. Being peaceful and with FREEDOM OF ASSEMBLY (A Human Right according to the United Nations), that should work well.

ABC News report said because of inflation is so high better our job today is the same as it is a $7 or 8 job was 2 years ago actually they said maybe to 3% lower so how does that help the Union

Good job, Marxists. Amazon said today that for the first time in company history, and effective April 28th, it will charge sellers a 5% "fuel and inflation surcharge." I wonder whether sellers will pass through the charge to consumers with inceased prices?
