Otherwise, one is left feeling confused and lost at sea, even not good enough or used, or worst - betrayed and heart-broken. The world is difficult enough, relationships ought to be our place of happiness, refuge, and peace, not another stressor or potential danger.

It literally alters everything you thought you knew about yourself, your intellect, your judgment, your intuition, your memories, the life you thought you were building together, your perception of everything! Not just how you now see your “safe partner”, EVERYTHING!
