The channel "honest guide" has made videos about how damaging these love locks can be to the bridges they are attached to and how there are teams of people who go and remove the locks on a regular basis. Would be very cool to see a video where you go to one of these bridges, with one of those teams, and see how many you could pick in say an hour as I think most of them use grinders and bolt cutters to remove the locks normally. Probably not going to happen, but still felt it was worth to drop the comment.

In Portugal among other places, people put laces and knots in bridges and similar places instead of locks. I think it's much better since the weight of the laces isn't a problem for the structures, as it is with locks. Way more practical and I like it more as a concept. Like, it doesn't have to last forever, just tied with love and good manners and intentions
