My 15 year old srm-230 is what made me love echo products! Used commercially for 1 year and personally to care for 3, 1+ acre properties since then. Still runs like new with just basic routine maintenance!
Just had HD order me a new 2620!

I have echo 2620T since 2019 in spring session. About to be 4 years old still run good. No issues so far, most reliable and best all-around high end commercial trimmer of any other high end commercial brand hand day for now

What kind of gas do you use in them? like octane, ethanol or non-ethanol?

I have the Shindaiwa 262 which is the exact same thing as the Echo 2620. When I use it, if I catch on my fence with the string, it wants to reduce the power slightly and then I have to feather the throttle to compensate and I’m having to go up and down with the throttle unless I want to run it at a higher RPM (which I don’t want to do so I don’t damage my fence). Does the 2:1 gear reduction T model you use commercially do better with that so you can keep it at a moderate rpm even if the string starts to grab on debris? In theory, I would assume it’s higher torque can allow you to not have to adjust the throttle when there is a heavier load on the trimmer string.

I have one of these for my residence, and they start right up even after winter time.
They are easy to flood though. Don’t prime any more then 3-5 pumps.
Plus, use the already mixed non ethanol in them.

I bought me a echo 2620 for 10 dallors in it been use 10 times my friend did something on where the trimmer head in he give me the part in he told me if you can get it to run its yours i got it to run

This is a stupid comparison. They are the same exact engine. The only difference is in the head gear at the end of the shaft

I love the 2620 they are really powerful units I've run a 3020t as well which is my favorite of all time but yeah usually 3-4 years and it's not that they lock up or anything but after rebuilding the carb and it still bogs down it's usually better to buy a new one, BTW that first one has a strange hissing sound... Exhaust? I've heard one of my trimmers do that before too..

Brutal misuse. Should have drained it, flushed it, dried it and replaced the plug. You can clean the filters in white vinegar and dry them out
