Footage from Ukraine's Kharkiv region shows the extent of devastation in the city with a number of destroyed houses and burned vehicles around.

Devastated settlement of Petropavlivka located in Kharkiv looks like a ghost town with no signs of life around.

Footage also shows damaged Russian military vehicles and ammunition.

Some 7.89 million have fled the country, mostly women and children, and 6.5 million people are internally displaced.

Civilian casualties from the ongoing war in Ukraine have reached 16,784, including 6,595 killed and 10,189 injured, according to the UN figures in Nov.
