Oregon wildfires: Drone footage shows devastation in communities destroyed by fires

Dozens of extreme wind-driven wildfires burned through forests and towns in U.S. West Coast states on Thursday, destroying hundreds of homes and killing at least eight people, authorities said.

Drone footage captured the extent of the damage on residential streets with little left but the foundations of houses. Several burnt-out vehicles and flattened structures were all that remained of a farm in Eagle Point.

Meanwhile, the Almeda fire flattened properties, businesses and homes in towns along Highway 99, including Talent, Phoenix and parts of Medford.

Oregon has borne the brunt of nearly 100 major wildfires raging across the U.S. West Coast this week. Around 3,000 firefighters have been battling nearly three dozen blazes in the state.

As I looked at these burnt homes, buildings, cars melted, and having looked at fires that happened last year,

Amazing how this fire was started with trees but once it hits town, it skips all those trees and only burns down houses.

Am i the only one that cant help but see a junkyard and cars with melted rims like lava.. but trees Around it still there..AND some of these subdivisions that homes are burnt to the ground stove oven and all.. but the trees are chard at best ... or for a real mind bender ..trees burn from the inside .. like they were microwaved... ?
