I have a long Covid and it really sucks because I already have lots of major medical issues including heart failure, asthma And COPD. Now I’m at the point that just going to the bathroom is too much for me. My fatigue is horrible. And people can’t understand because they’re not going through it.

Tips for medically wait-listed suffering newbies: Don't wait for the doc. Much you can do for yourself. I'm not an expert. Do your own research. But after much research and self-treatment these are the first things I wish I'd done almost three years ago. Focus immediately on inflammation, mitochondrial and gut health. Study up on all the essential elements needed for mitochondrial health, and take them. In part, some important ones: Glutathione, NR, NAC, Urolithin A, Magnesium, Ubiquinol, Vit E&C, all B vitamins & especially eat foods high in B3, fish oil, electrolytes, SALT / IODINE, elecrolytes, and SENOLYTICS (eliminates clumped / underperforming mitochondria) such as Fistein, spermidine - best to find senolytic with multiple types. Also begin by resolving inflammation. This alone will make you feel much better. Check blood / CRP levels if you can so you can measure effectiveness, but don't wait to start treatment. Assume you have inflammation and get it in check fast to prevent further damage/ reverse brainfog and some fatigue. Grab the ibuprofin from the drawer to get you by until you can get a prescription for Low Dose Naltrexone (LDN) <can't take with opioid medication though>. If your doc won't prescribe it then find a doc on telemed through the LDN Research Trust network. LDN is effective at neutralizing pro-inflammatory cytokines, targets brain and systemic inflammation, modulates your immune system and even tackles cancer cells and all autoimmune conditions. Love it because it's safe as long as you don't use opioids. Super effective, cheap, crosses blood/brain barrier, removes a lot of guesswork, and has numerous scalable benefits to other conditions. Likely to be protective of your immune response in case of repeat infection or potentially in preventing viral reactivation incidents, as well. Treat the liklihood that you have bad gut bacteria / compromised microbiome not just for digestion, but to improve cognitive symptoms. If you can get a good microbiome test that pairs with a targeted probiotic, I'd do it. Along with consuming a lot of fermented foods. Maybe an antibiotic or other agent to kill bad gut bacteria, parasites, candida. Rest. Do less than you think you should. Even lying on the sofa thinking takes a lot of energy. A shocking amount of energy. Arrange for more efficiencies to save energy (food delivery, etc) Let A LOT of stuff go. Ask for help if you can get it. Learn about how to manage your limited battery. Do not exercise if you are severely fatigued. This will harm you. There is more to do with other bodily systems the doc needs to help with. Sometimes doing the work means resting. It's one of the hardest parts.

Fantastic news. Although it did make me cringe when she said that the ‘most popular’ side effect we have is fatigue 😣

It's not a new mystery, post Viral fatigue (ME/CFS) is well known, and has been documented since 1770.

36 years old male, and i am ill over a year. I am living hell. And it isn't about the respiratory system. Before covid i had gi issues like ibs flatulence etc.. but i could live with them. After covid it is like my GI problems started to have their own neurological problems. Involuntarily swallowing (!) started. My tongue and jaw started to loosen. It is unseen. I felt like there was a tremor and tension through my throat-esophagus track. After losing 15 pounds, 3-4 weeks later i got little better and gained my appetite, but then i spit light red blood with stomachache and throatache. I did endoscopy immediately but they didn't find anything. Then everything got worse. I lost my appetite for good over a year. I am experiencing a worsening throatache that no ENT professors can detect with camera. I have examined by over 60 professors. Gastroenterologists, ENT Professors, Neurologists etc.. i did blood tests, endoscopies, colonoscopy, CTs, MRs even EMGs. Throat pain is killing me. Loss of appetite, fatigue.. these are also challenging. I have other symptoms but i dont know how can i bare this throat pain. Gabapentine isn't working. Diclofenac isn't working. They can not tell any reason other than long covid.

I'm currently dealing with post covid 19 fatigue. The doctors have recommended vitamins ...already taking them for months, protein ...been having that everyday, rest ...been doing that since day 1, electrolytes ...been on them for a month slight difference. My doctor said some people will get it worse than others. Now on anti biotics for throat infection. This Covid is a life changer that I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy. I manage short walks, after a few days of short walks I'm exhausted, emotional and fed up. Never been hit with anything like this in my life. Waiting for my booster as I've read it can help alleviate the symptoms.

long hauler for over a year and a half, I still cant work like a normal person. I have come so far, using high antioxidant supplementation, greens powders, detox smoothies, whole food, elderberry, mulberry, Vitamin C, K, D, E, oooh and many more. I am able to walk up to 3 miles on a good day with much rest in between and pacing. The heat intolerance is very real, and now with 100 degree days, I do feel a slight set back. I cannot be as active outdoors. The good news is that is temporary. So this is great, I have heard it could be mitochondria causing the fatigue, weakness I also read high antioxidant supplementation can help and it does. That is when I started feeling better. This research gives me hope to one step closer to a more normal life. I have come so far!
