I like your explanation. Clear and simple

Love the short videos, but of course I LIKE the longer ones for in depth SPECIFICS-- LIKE needing to know which tech we can use that does measure the glucose in the blood than the fluid between the cells. <3

Thanks for the explanation, I'm type 2.The order in how to eat my food
is golden. My blood sugar takes longer to Flatten instead 1 hr it's around 90 mins.I'm using the order of eating that you wrote and heard from your YouTube videos.
I'm using them at each sitting of food,

So I see clearly the changes by understanding the glucose Load and eat food under 10 GL. After my meal that I had for Breakfast 3 hrs later my reading 6.3 times 18=113.4
13.4%>from Pre-Diabetic.
Thank you I'm slowly going through your 2 books.
The mechanism you have explained,
Allows me the potential to manage keeping my BLS.flatten with minimum spikes.
Over 3 weeks, my BLS.is now 13.4 %
Above being pre-Diabetic.
Thank you.

I have watched it five times before I could listen to the topic rather than just watch it.

*Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM)* is an advanced method for tracking glucose (sugar) levels in the body throughout the day and night. CGM systems use a small sensor inserted under the skin, typically on the abdomen or arm, which measures glucose in the interstitial fluid (the fluid between cells). This sensor sends real-time glucose readings to a display device (like a smartphone or dedicated receiver) every few minutes, providing trends and patterns in glucose levels that can help users manage diabetes more effectively.

*CGM Technique:*

*Sensor Placement:* A tiny, flexible filament is inserted under the skin using an automatic injector. This filament is part of the sensor that measures glucose levels.
Transmitter Attachment: The sensor connects to a small transmitter fixed on the skin. This transmitter sends real-time data wirelessly to a monitoring device.
Data Display: Glucose readings are displayed on the device continuously. Most CGMs also provide alerts if glucose levels are too high or too low.
Accuracy and Reliability:
CGM systems are generally very accurate, but their precision can vary based on the model and the location of the sensor. CGM accuracy is often measured by the Mean Absolute Relative Difference (MARD), with a lower MARD indicating higher accuracy. Modern CGM systems typically have a MARD ranging from 8% to 15%, making them quite reliable for day-to-day management of glucose levels.

*Comparison with Traditional Methods:*

*Fingerstick Glucose Testing:* The traditional method involves pricking the finger to get a blood sample and using a glucose meter to read the sugar level at that moment. This method provides a snapshot of the glucose level, which can vary significantly throughout the day.

*Accuracy:* Generally, fingerstick measurements are very accurate, often with a MARD less than CGM systems. However, they only provide a momentary glucose level.
Frequency of Testing: Limited by how often a user is willing or able to perform the test, which might miss fluctuations.

*HbA1c Tests:* These are lab tests done every 2-3 months to get an average glucose level over this period. While useful for long-term management, they don't provide information on daily fluctuations or the impacts of meals, exercise, and medications.

*Accuracy:* Very reliable for long-term trends but doesn't help with daily glucose management.

*Benefits of CGM:*
Continuous Monitoring: Offers a detailed view of glucose trends throughout the day and night.
Early Warning: Alarms for high or low levels can prevent dangerous episodes.
Data Insights: Helps in understanding the impact of diet, exercise, and medications on glucose levels.
*Limitations:*
Cost: Generally more expensive than traditional fingerstick meters and test strips.

Maintenance: Sensors typically need to be replaced every 7-14 days depending on the model.
Calibration: Some models require occasional fingerstick tests to calibrate the sensor.
*Conclusion:*
CGMs offer a high level of accuracy and the additional benefits of real-time continuous monitoring and trend analysis, which can significantly improve diabetes management compared to traditional methods. However, their cost and maintenance requirements might be a consideration for some users. Overall, for those who can access and afford them, CGMs represent a substantial improvement in diabetes care technology.

Bonne continuation
