Visited recently and really amazed how the country is developing. They even managed to preserve their historical sites despite rapid development. This is what we failed to do in the Philippines. Proud if you Vietnam!

Thank you for this video. I've been in Viet Nam for the last five years and have notice a LOT of development. This country is growing in astronomical ways. New housing and infrastructure construction is happening everywhere. Their fight against corruption is public and keeping the country strong. On 24 October 20023, 42 head deputies and countless subordinates were prosecuted by the VN government for corruption.

I am a British citizen I moved to Vietnam 5/6 years ago to work … it was easy to work and get visas … I got married to a Vietnamese lady pretty much 6 months into my stay…. Now it’s been over 4 years of marriage and 3 kids later I am so glad it was the best decision ever … my wife cooks cleans is half of my body weight I weigh 90kg we have a full time live in nanny to help take care of the kids…. Beer costs less than 50 cents a can … and the economy is booming … my kids are dual citizens …. The weed is green and sticky icky I can truly say it’s tropical 27-30 degrees outside all day everyday … possibly a heaven on earth 🌏

I believe in Vietnam's future but they have a long way to go, to improve infrastructure is vital, water and electricity supply must be assured as industrial needs cannot be compromised, as for now they need to build new airports to cater to the growth of the tourism industry as well as to accommodate more landings from airlines, the transport sector needs to improve immensely as traffic jams are a common sight which hinders productivity, well that's my personal observation and hope that Vietnam will succeed.

To those who oppose the Vietnamese government:

Perhaps you forgot that only by the end of 2019, the current Vietnamese government had to replace the Republic of Viet Nam (VNCH) to fully pay for the debt of $147 million to the US government during the war years?...that was just 4 years ago.

And right after 2019 is the time when the Covid pandemic takes place...

Vietnam's current growth rate is thanks to the government's smart domestic policy and the hard work of the Vietnamese people - That cannot be denied.

Vietnam GDP grew very rapidly because of the mind boggling growth of exports. Why? Because of the mass relocation of factories in China to Vietnam. Vietnam's 2022 export numbers overtook those of Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia. It really is mind boggling. Export growth leads to GDP growth. Higher GDP means debt to GDP ratio goes down significantly. Nominally, Vietnam's foreign debt (in US Dollar) did not change that much. Just putting things in context, Vietnam's 1st quarter 2023 GDP growth is 3.3%, reason: export growth slowdown due to the economic slowdown of export destination countries (usually advanced economies).

As a Vietnamese person, i really appreciate your video, the animation was made completely easy to understand. Besides, many comment show that some international friends are also impressive about the development of our economy. Thanks very much for your efforts. Tôi tôn trong bạn!!! 🥰

You mentioned the Vinashin incident, but when it happened, Vietnam's government debt was at a level of 35%. This proves that Vietnam's economic crisis occurred irrespective of the level of government debt. Also, in 2008, Vietnam faced a major economic crisis when the ratio of government debt was at 31%. However, their stock market index, the VN Index, dropped from 1200 to 200.

They will need to invest heavily into infrastructure though, if they want to continue to grow like this.

Vietnamese is the great factor contributing to the massive growth of Vietnam economy. They are dedicated, diligent, and smart. They have built the country from hope (from a country was heavily destroyed after numberous wars). If there is a lesson to learn about how Vietnamese develop their country, it’s must be a lesson of how they live and contribute their lives for Vietnam prosperity.
