The problem with some of them is that you could give them a home, but they would just trash it. That's what happened to the hotel in Midtown.

It’s terrible for the homeless It’s even worse for neighbors who go to work everyday to pay their mortgages

Free health care in California if you are interested.

There are enough woke people with homes in the TCs who can care for at least one of these homeless under their own roof. City council members, be the change.

so, clear the camp and offer resources or jail. Maybe the tribes could do something if they actually care? Look for inclusionary zoning units - lots of new apartments have them.

Edit: you can't be evicted from somewhere you are trespassing.

A long term solution is getting a job and stop doing drugs.

Watching this from Seattle. I'm from Wisconsin originally.
Minnesota people make me proud for actively involving themselves to tackle this problem. Minnesota seems to have good support from the people for owning the problem.
In contrast, here in Seattle people ignore the problem and don't consider the homeless as "their" problem.
However, what "I See" is that Minnesota people have a strong sense of community vs those here in Seattle. I'm poor, almost homeless myself, but I never ever pass by somebody in me in need without helping to at least get them some food. For two years straight i give food to homeless people at the highway on and off ramps where they stand. I know for a fact I've gave people the only food that they've had that day or would get that day. That's sad but it's also powerful knowing that you can make a difference to someone.
And I think that's what separates good people from the rest. Knowing where you can make a different but don't act upon it.
So yes I'll give up my lunch for somebody else to eat because I can go home later on and know that there's a meal there for me. I'll suffer to help somebody else..
