I ended up down there at the end of this fall for five nights. Luckily, I found my aunt Angel Bowen who I haven't seen in 15 years. She runs the exchange and got me a tent. Thank you so much, auntie.

Tiny homes are the only IMMEDIATE answer, and it is so cold here now..

Most people have something ignorant to say when tax dollars go to helping people. Yet when trillions of tax dollars go to the "military industrial complex", you can hear a pin drop. Humanity is shameless...

The reason I moved out of Minneapolis is because all the money I had went to rent and food light bill gas bill and I was a single parent with four little kids.

I think everyone of us knows someone that has been homeless at some point or ourselves.

That older man, I need a roommate and he shouldn't be there. I live in North central WI, on SS but I have a home. Please let me know if I can help. This breaks my heart...

I dont own a car but when I walk in the cold I always remember homeless people with no warm home to walk home too. American Politicians need to give Domestic Aid.

About 70 percent to 83 percent of blind and visually impaired people in the United States are unemployed. About 1 in 4 of us blind or visually impaired folks are currently homeless and living on the streets. If you have secondary disabilities such as a mental health condition, it's worse.

I don't know why people are turning this into a boarder issue
Or another race issue.
This is a human issue
Politics will always fall short..
It's people collectively working together to help other people,
that's what works.

mayor could have a staff member call every owner of an empty old building that looks like it could be fixed a little and be a good shelter and start seeing if some of these owners who own a lot of property want to donate some of these buildings and the land to be turned into shelters. get some grants and volunteers and builders and go in there and make the buildings functional. it could be done all over the country. work out a deal with the city water and the electric companies for donated or super cheap (at cost) water and lights. put in those electric heaters that are shaped like long strips and put them along the baseboards. they are safe and no fire that way. americans have to start helping each cause it is will probably get worse before it gets better.

Tampon Tim Walz is encouraging street people to move here from around the country by raising $100 million in Minnesota taxes to promote Minneapolis and St Paul as a homeless Haven. The idea is to give these people everything they want so they can live on the street the way they want to live. Remember that election time. You don’t see this problem in Fargo, North Dakota or Des Moines, Iowa or Boise, Idaho. So why is it here? Because these people are going to be given everything they want to make life comfortable and easy on the street.
