I don't get the complaints about the back rest lever. It's much quicker to adjust this way than with a dial. Love it.

Although the Corolla's not going to win any awards for high-tech, it certainly does win the reliability, stylish and safety awards. Safety comes first.

if its your own hard earned cash and not a company car, this is a great car, virtually trouble free for 15 years possibly longer, if its a company car there are more comfortable options

It's true that some corolla' s rivals exhibit better passenger space and larger boot volume. But when it comes to reliability record, ease of driving and the << built to last for ever>> character, the Toyota Corolla has no direct competitor.

I have a 04' Prius, that's only been to service 1 time for water pump and that's it. It's 2019 and it cost me $7500 used in 2009 and driven it for 10 years running and it is the most reliable and least costly car to own.

Britain, where fuel is sold by the litre, but fuel economy figures are given in miles per British gallon, a unit of volume that is only ever used in the context of fuel economy ratings and which is 20% larger than the American gallon. How many British gallons did you just buy at the pump? That's easy! Just divide the number of litres you bought by 4.54609. Once you get good at dividing and multplying numbers by that figure, developing an intuitive feel for you car's real world mpg fuel economy is easy.

Looks good, will last a long time and not spend much time in the garage. Our obsession with the Focus and Golfs in the UK is slightly odd, this will cost so much less over 5 to 10 years than anything else out there. I have an issue with folk slagging off the Japanese way of reclining seats, the lever is way better than a rotating KNOB!

Who cares about comparing to a Golf? A typical Toyota Hybrid buyer has already ruled out unreliable VW rubbish

Since when a dial adjustment is better than a lever? Are you serious?

Glad I checked this video out! I'm getting a 1.8 Icon around the end of August (unless coronavirus delays things). All things considered it looks like I made the right choice. Pure EVs are still too much of a chore when it comes to charging. Hybrid feels like the right way to go at the moment.

I have had 4 Japanese cars with this seat back rest adjustment & never had an issue with it. I like that it is quick to adjust.

CarPlay can be added by Toyota to pre 2020 model Corollas.

People who need a practical backseat on a regular basis should buy the Touring Sports as this hatch is simply too cramped.

Had they spent a few extra quid on a decent driver display and infotainment system this car would be right up there.

A dial to fine-tune back adjustments? Slow and tedious.
I find a lever like that to be much more practical, especially if you wanted to take a short power nap whilst on a long drive.

Rotating seat adjusters and pathetic. Thank goodness Toyota have used a quick adjustment
