Amazing Devil's Food Cake:

240g Milk (1 Cup)
115g Butter ( 1 Stick)
100g Unsweetened Cocoa (1 cup)
180 Sour Cream OR Greek Yogurt ( 3/4 cup)
300 g Sugar ( 1 1/2 cups)
2 Eggs
140 flour ( 1 cup)
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1-2 tbsp coffee

Devil's Food Fudge Frosting:

80 unsweetened cocoa ( 3/4 cup)
1/2 tsp Salt
400g Powdered Sugar ( 3 1/4 cups )
150 soft butter ( 1 1/4 sticks, cut into small pieces)
120g Heavy Cream ( 1/2 cup)

Don't skip the salt in this frosting! It's a cross between buttercream and ganache. So it really needs the salt to balance out the sweetness.

Enjoy!

I was frosting a cake today but the piping bag fell down and spelled “ Emma will pin you today” I wonder if that’s true 😱

If this was the cake from matilda I'll gladly eat it in one sitting. It looks soo good! I've never made good chocolate frosting and I will make sure that I'll master this. It looks so easy to make haha.

This recipe is almost identical to the Devil's Food cake I had on birthdays growing up. That was frosted with a thick chocolate buttercream, but this frosting looks great as well. This cake is rich, so I definitely recommend having a glass of milk or a cup of coffee along with it.

Dear Emma, made two of your brownies recipes, microwave and 50kcal, made your Greek chocolate cake for my birthday, simply delicious! Made your easy birthday cake recipe and made your chocolate fudge cake. All delicious! I'm planning to make this devil's food cake next week for my husband's birthday 🎂🎉

Made it today. Very easy and super moist. Excellent with the frosting, it balances the bitterness of the Cocoa. Thanks Emma!
