I tried this recipe with self raising flour as I couldn't get cake/pastry flour in the uk and it was the most gorgeous choc cake iv tired! Hubby is not a choc fan but tried this cake and ate half the cake himself! One of my fav recipes-thankyou!

for people who need the recipe in grams, here it is:
125g coffee
225g cake & pastry flour
315g granulated sugar
50g cocoa powder
125g vegetable oil
2 eggs
125g milk
10g baking soda
2.5g baking powder
2.5g salt
5g vanilla extract

i have tried baking this cake. and i have reduced the sugar to half. i would say this cake taste awesome.  the cake is so rich and have a deep chocolate taste. btw, i have used the choco butter cream cream instead of the normal white cream.
