When I was in high school I was friends with a girl and we would hang out with two guys from one of the other classes who were also friends. She and I were both crushing on the same guy of the two, while one of the guys had a huge crush on my friend (the one we weren't attracted to) and the one we both liked, liked me. He however ended up hooking up with my friend and years later confessed to me that he only did so because his friend liked her, so the competition (and win) was the reason behind even though he thought she was boring AF😂
I never gave him a second glance like that again after I found out they were seeing each other and he ended up completely obsessed with me and begging to date me when we rekindled our friendship as adults. I just had fun watching him suffer for the time in high school where he chose her over me and broke my heart.

The trouble with this advice is that it totally misses the depth of intimacy that happens when a man and a woman have a true connection spiritually, then get to know & enjoy each other socially & then bond emotionally and finally physically intimacy, that is what not only draws them together but the hormones released as they spend more and more time together, gets them to commit to eachother for life, for better or worse, in sickness and in health etc. Except for the narcissist and similar egotists, their good character recognition of each other, and good memories, true love keeps them from switching loyalty or affection. Also when the women impose the dates as you said “ I am only available in 8 days” is very agressive and it’s like you want the power so it doesn’t work at all because he won’t have any desire because there is no suspense at all !! It's the measuring of what is "enough" for him to be still interested that is annoying. How is ok for him to be anxious but not us, the women? It seems like women at all stages just want to make a relationship work if she likes the guy. But it's these men who are really complex. 🙄
