It's true in some cases but if we look at it the other way having an ego is a good thing. If you have an ego of " I am the best" then you are gonna work so hard to make sure you are the best

As a kid I never thought I was good enough and that everyone else knew more than I did. I think this really helped me push myself. I should regain this mentality
