Entering middle age can lead to restlessness and boredom. Here's how to make the best of your midlife malaise, no bright-red sports car required.

Warning
Seek help from a counselor or therapist if you are exhibiting signs of serious depression.

Step 1: Acknowledge your issues
If you're having problems with your career or relationships, don't sweep them under the rug. Acknowledge what's bothering you so you can deal with a crisis before it becomes a catastrophe.

Step 2: Reinvigorate your relationships
Reinvigorate your relationships by spending more time with your significant other, children, and friends, and less time at work. The transition into midlife can provide a great opportunity to reflect on what's really important.

Tip
Don't do anything rash, like leaping into an extramarital affair or buying an expensive new car. Impulsive actions may make you feel better in the short term, but they won't address any of the causes of your crisis.

Step 3: Exercise
Eat well and exercise to combat the health concerns that often go along with getting older. Join a gym, practice yoga, or take up a new sport. A regular fitness regimen will keep you energized, feeling good about your body, and ready to tackle this next phase in life.

Step 4: Get spiritual
Get in touch with your spiritual side, whether it's practicing your religious faith, communing with nature, indulging your inner artist, or volunteering in your community. In a time when you may be searching for meaning in your life, these endeavors will provide some answers.

Step 5: Try new things
Channel your restlessness into productivity. Take a class, go back to school, try new foods, read books you normally wouldn't touch, or plan a trip. Midlife can be a tremendous time for personal growth.

Step 6: Stay positive
Stay positive and focus on your strengths. As midlife approaches, feelings of regret and failure are not uncommon. Instead of reliving past disappointments, draw on your successes to lead you forward. You've got the best years of your life ahead of you.

Did You Know?
A study found that women are twice as likely as men to feel optimistic about the future at middle age.

Only thing is we tend to look at information when it's too late. Wish I looked at this earlier been a walking depressive and then overreacted making situation worse. Definitely think diet, exercise and trying to keep positive would have helped. Too many negative thoughts that lead to bad actions.

It's all in how you feel about yourself and your relationships. I went back to school and I don't feel young, but that I'm finally growing up. Sound hokey, I know, but I don't need anyone to tell me I'm pretty or sexy. I know I am.

Youtube only loses Google ~100m every year if not more....video ads aren't that bad and are needed unless you want Youtube to shut down or require a payment in the future ($5 membership/year, etc).

Plus video ads generate a lot more money than still ads.

I need a video that tells me what to do about my husband's full blown drugs, prostitution, extreme money blowing on whores and strip clubs crisis.
Getting a divorce is too expensive and is just what they want to continue their exploits.

The relationship aspect is a backlash from something lacking within. My topic for my own subscribers this week. So maybe you're at midlife, maybe younger or even mid twenties and you feel you didn't get what you wanted. You look at someone like Stephen King and suddenly you feel poorly about yourself. Don't. Two mindsets to take here. First, most people don't get everything they wanted--they may get a lot, but not everything. Most talented actors or other artists won't make the big screen. But you evaluate what you did get. Maybe family, maybe you did get to that suburb or maybe your job is getting to help people. But maybe that didn't get you to the Bill Gates level. So what? Everyone has there own path to walk. And guess what, Bill Gates and King didn't get everything either. Stephen King has trouble walking because he got run down by a truck decades ago. See? Second point. There is still time. There are many things I can't do now due to age. Can't join the Marines or become an FBI agent. Can't try again at pro thai kickboxing. But I can travel. I can hike. I can see the world. I can keep writing books and keep plugging that vlog. What is left greatly outnumbers what I didn't get and now can't get. That is the take home point--at thirty, at eighty. Hope this helps someone out there---Charles.

"How To Deal With a Midlife Crisis"
Whatever the solution may be - it's not a midwife.
Should I place any significance in that the advises are presented by a woman and not a man?
