you said that in closed system, the mass, work, and heat cannot cross its boundary, you are talking about the isolated system.
closed system also known as "control mass system", a type type of system where no mass can cross its boundary, energy in the form of heat can exchange in its surroundings.

A closed system is that in which only the exchange of energy is allowed but the exchange of matter is not allowed. Example-When we boil water with a closed lid, the heat can exchange but matter cannot. What you described is an isolated system
