show the 30+ seconds before this where the NDP obstruct the whip from moving up his side of the isle. the Government whip and the Opposition whip are supposed to walk up the aisle on their respective sides of the House, bow to the Speaker, then bow to each other, then take their seats. The NDP MPs knew this, which is why they threw the blockade up to begin with. They knew that Gord Brown was going to need to walk up that particular side of the aisle and that, if they stood there in a cluster, they would impede his progress to his seat. The onus was not on Gord Brown to walk down the other side of the aisle, the onus was on the NDP MPs to not act like petulant bullies and to clear the aisle and take their own seats. not justifying trudeau's actions, but tell the whole story ffs
